The first “Tourbillon à Paris” was built according to handwritten plans and machined entirely manually and traditionally. The main plate, which supports the entire mechanism, is at the center of the movement and bridges come to support the gear train from the front and rear of the watch. This construction allows to simplify some components and lighten the aesthetics of the chronometer while leaving the movement visible on both sides of the timepiece.
